Set amid the wine country vineyards of Napa Valley, Stagecoach House is a complete reimagining of a modest 1970s ranch home and its surrounding landscape.

Designed as a second home for the clients, the property is being transformed into a refined and highly personal retreat for relaxed wine country living, family gatherings, and entertaining.

Sidemark Studio has been involved from the earliest stages of the project, helping the homeowners assemble the design team, including the selection of the architect and builder, and shaping the overall vision for the property. Our scope encompasses concept development, comprehensive interior design, detailed interior drawing sets, finish and fixture selections, custom cabinetry, and ongoing construction coordination with the architect, builder, and professional trades. We are also designing and procuring the home’s complete furnishings, followed by installation and styling as the final layer of the project.

The extensive property includes vineyards, a pond, tennis court, swimming pool, two outdoor kitchens, and multiple spaces for outdoor dining and lounging. The interiors and exterior living areas are being considered as a cohesive whole, balancing the home’s rural setting with elevated materials, custom details, and a warm, collected sensibility.

The homeowners named the property Stagecoach House in honor of its unique history. The land was once situated along a stagecoach route that traveled through Napa during the 1860s, and the ruins of an original stagecoach stop remain on the property beside the pool.
